Still Here: A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Recovery

sub-title

This isn’t a manual for doing it right. It’s a field guide for not quitting when it gets ugly.

🛠 What Is This?

This is a gritty, grace-soaked, tool-laced companion for people trying to live in recovery.

Not theory. Not fluff. Not perfection.

Just honest reflections, hard-earned tools, and practical pages to help you stay in the fight.

This guide was built out of my own work with various pieces of recovery literature and daily meditations. These aren’t copies or duplications of these resources. They’re responses to them—what happened when I sat with a theme like Acceptance, or Control, or Step 1, and wrote from the trenches.

If you’re in the food. If you’re out of the food. If you’re crawling your way back.

This guide is for you.

🧭 How to Use It

Each page in the Hitchhiker’s Guide focuses on a core recovery theme.

Inside each one, you’ll find:

  • 🔹 Theme Spark – the big idea that kicked this off
  • 🪖 Thoughts from the Trenches – a raw reflection from the journey
  • ✍️ Refocus Prompts – journal questions to get you honest
  • 🙏 Pocket Prayer – a small prayer with big power
  • Just for Today Action – one thing you can do today
